This charming, linear village is located in the remote dales of Cumbria's Eden area. This tiny community is made up of a row of houses from the 18th century, as well as a swimming pool, bars, stores, a Post Office, and a beautiful memorial park. Shap Abbey, which is located half a mile from the village core and is surrounded by a magnificent setting by the River Lowther, was last ruled by Henry VIII in 1540. The stunning Lake District National Park is close by, and the charming towns of Ambleside and Windermere are also accessible.
