We made the decision to leave London and move to the New Forest for family reasons. It was hard moving away from family and friends but it was the best decision we could have made. Sway is a beautiful, friendly village and is the ideal base from which to explore the New Forest and coastline. Every day we can walk from Wildwood and be in the forest in a very short space of time. And so many varied locations, including the coast, are within a short drive away.
At Wildwood B&B we aim to offer you a comfortable, welcoming place to stay with home cooked breakfast made from locally sourced produce. Both our B&B rooms are in a separate area of our family home. We have a friendly dog called Milo, but he is kept away from the guest areas. The rooms are both decorated with a distinct mid-century style. They have their own lobby area with a fridge which you are free to use, plus a collection of books and maps on the New Forest.
We welcome your feedback and will be constantly looking for ways of improving the service we offer you. We hope you enjoy your stay with us and hope you leave wanting to return.
We both love art and have collected various art works over the years, many of which are displayed in our hall and stairway. Our taste is quite quirky and diverse so there are quite a few different styles to be seen.
I work from home as a designer and photographer and offer a range of design services to small businesses. I have a strong interest in photography and have found the New Forest the perfect place to encourage this passion. I like nothing better than to go walking in the forest with our dog and a camera and every day there are new discoveries to made.
We used to come to this part of the country for holidays when we were living in London and wanted to create guest accommodation which would offer both comfort and luxury - with the added extra of tastefully designed mid century styled rooms: a touch of retro/vintage but with a modern twist.
We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to Sway....
The Silver Hind restaurant and bar is next door to Wildwood B&B. Please be aware, there may be ambient noise from customers in the evenings, as the Silver Hind's front garden is open for outside drinking and dining.
If you enjoy walking, you may like to know it takes just 10 minutes to walk into the forest from our B&B and there are lots of places to park and walk a very short drive away. The coast is just a 15-20 mins drive away too.
