Spacious house with modern facilities. Newly built. Fully furnished double rooms, all with en suite bathroom. Large walled and gated garden, planted with variety of flowers and vegetables. Very convenient for transport and shops.
Portia is your live in host and housekeeper. She is well organised, friendly, a very good cook. She is very knowledgeable about the Volta region and Ghanaian culture, traditions and Music. She loves keeps a lovely garden, where she grows a variety of flowers and vegetables. Portia will also prepare meals to your order. We have a varied menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some supplies are from our own vegetable garden and farm, depending on seasonal availability.
The house is located in Konda Dzoanti near the busy market town of Kpando. There are numerous small shops nearby, selling groceries and most things you would need. The covered market offers fruits, vegetables, cloths, bric a brac and crafts. We have 2 or 3 banks in the town and a post office and a general hospital. There are several cafes, food kiosks and bars. Most shops are open 7 days a week early till late. There is a good transport network with tuk tuks that go door to door. Or you can take a taxi to visit further towns or cities. Within 5-10 minutes drive you reach expansive farmlands and lush forests. Konda is within 30 minutes drive to Tagbo and Eberli Waterfails, Tafi Atome Monkey sanctuary and the Volta Lake. You can also visit traditional villages.
