It is located in the heart of the small village of Tzados and 15 minutes from Chora (port), this renovated little gem has retained all its original architectural features while being transformed into a wonderful studio for 2 guests.
Right in the middle of all the bustling villages of eastern Tinos, this place stands out for its tranquility, aesthetics, and location.
The 39 sq.m. studio is divided into three areas:
The small kitchen and dining area,
the bed/living room,
and the outdoor patio.
And of course, there is a bathroom :)
You will find a built-in queensize bed and a built-in single sofa/bed.
An old arch in the wall has been converted into a hanging wardrobe, and the stone surface below it can be used as a perfect desk.
The outdoor patio has the typical Greek coffee table and chairs and can easily accommodate 3 or 4 people.
Finally, as a rare feature, the studio has two entrance doors (the upper part of the doors can remain open) and two windows that allow more light and great air circulation!
Thanks to the intense traditional Cycladic architecture and also the location of the village (altitude 400m), these old ground floor spaces are very cool in the summer and do not need air conditioning. However, we have an a/c and a dehumidifier/ionizer
The studio's 70 cm thick stone walls allow the space to stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Tzados is a small traditional village in Tinos, known for its tranquility, picturesque alleys, lush environment (thanks to a small river running beside it), and its fountain. Every year on July 25th, the folk celebration of Saint Anna is held for two days in the village square, alleys, and the village's namesake church.
There are hiking trails that pass through the village, and you will also encounter some well-fed local cats, cared for by the villagers :)
On the main road just outside the village, you will find a pharmacy, gas station, bakery, restaurant, and a traditional cheese workshop, all within a very short distance.
To reach Tzados and move around the village, your best option is a car. Tinos is not small, and private transportation is recommended to explore the villages, beaches, and sights of the island.
On the other hand, there is a public bus that runs regularly across the island - no matter where you are, just raise your hand and it will stop for you!
There is always parking space in one of the two small squares in the village.
