Plakoti village is just 600 m from the closest village of Adele where you can find supermarkets, cafe, bakeries and more. This peaceful place is only 3,5 km from the beach and 8 km from city of Rethymno. Arkadi Monastery, the place where Cretans sacrificed against Turcks back in 1866 by blowing the gun powder keg to avoid captivity, is only 15 km away from the complex. Within a 40-50 minutes’ drive you will also find Drimos gorge with a unique natural heritage. In the gorge hidden in the rocks is the little church of Agios Antonios (Saint Antonios) which is built literally in them.
