The "Gythio townhouse" is a highly comfortable and modern holiday accommodation in the heart of the beautiful port town of Gythio in the south-central Peloponnese with picturesque views of the city and the sea.
The totally new built house in a traditional style of natural stone provides two independent apartments.
The one of the apartments is a two-storey maisonette. On the ground floor, which is accessible via its own outside door, there is a small bedroom with a comfortable double bed, a chest of drawers and an ensuite bathroom next to it.
The upper floor, accessed alternatively via the internal staircase from the ground floor or via a separate external entrance with a courtyard, represents the main living area with a smart and comfortable fitted kitchen (incl. dishwasher and oven), a dining and sofa area and a lovely balcony off to the side a hallway and a second bathroom.
The second apartment (gallery apartment) has its own separate entrance at the top rear of the house, accessible via the public staircase. The front door leads directly into the attractive living area, with a cozy corner sofa, a dining area and a decorative kitchenette (no dishwasher and no oven), next to a stylish, fashionable and bright bathroom with all comforts.
A chic, open-flanked staircase leads to a stylish sleeping area directly under the light-colored roof beams with two skylights for an unobstructed view of the starry sky. A comfortable double bed, two chic sideboards next to it and air conditioning create a cozy atmosphere here.

We are Germans, settled here in Greece in 2012 and built a new life for ourselves. This also includes our "gythio townhouse", which we have rebuilt from the ground up and in the original style with a lot of personal effort, in order to make it available to lovers of the Greek small town ambience as a holiday oasis.
The "Gythio townhouse" is surrounded by quaint neighboring houses on the slope of the mountain "Akoumaro", where a large part of the picturesque town of Gythio is located, criss-crossed by stairways and narrow access paths.
The place Gythio itself is an attractive, typical Greek town with a harbor for fishing and other boats, with a variety of taverns, cafenions, shops of all kinds, with doctors' surgeries, pharmacies, banks and a long promenade.
The nearest beaches are Selinitsa Beach and Mavrovouni Beach, both approximately 8 minutes' drive from the city centre.
Attractive excursion destinations are preferably the notorious landscape of the Mani with its fortified towers from Vendetta times, the extraordinary rock town of Monemvasia, the Byzantine ruined city of Mystras and the excavation site of Messene near Kalamata.
