This is a traditional house built under the Acropolis of Lindos. The main parts of the house are joined by a common courtyard. It involves two private bedrooms, one on the ground floor and a second on the first floor. The kitchen and the toilet are on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a balcony with a sitting area and a spectacular view of the picturesque village of Lindos. The bell tower of the church and the Archaeocrateo stand out.
Hello! My name is Chara, which in Greek means joy. I was born and raised in the island of Rhodes, specifically in a small, picturesque village called Lindos. I love travelling and exploring new cultures and ways of living. I have pursued classical studies and my passion is to analyse the etymology of the words.Also, I have been working in the tourism industry since I was young. This exposure led me to make the decision of building this house. Welcome to Kilistra & enjoy your staying!
The house is located in the heart of Lindos and next to Kilistra. Kilistra is an inclined plane of stone that in ancient times served as a recreation area, as a playground for children, as they could slide on it. Until today, Kyllistra is used by the kids for the same purpose. This became my inspiration for the house’s name. Just 10 meters away you can find restaurants, cafes and a supermarket. At the opposite side of the house, there is the old church of Agios Georgios. The house is also very close to the road that leads to the Acropolis and the main beach of Lindos.
