The cottage is located in an olive grove distancing 250 m from Chorafakia village connected via an easily accessible non-asphalted road. There virtually is little to no traffic around the property. The cottage is surrounded by either natural landscapes with thyme and carob trees or low intensity agricultural landscapes with mainly olive trees. There are distant mountain views to the White Mountains as well as Stavros mountain. Within a short walking distance from the house (10 min) there are restaurants with diverse menus, a pool bar, a coffee-bar serving also breakfast, a pharmacy, ATM, and markets. The nearest beaches, Tersanas, or Kalathas are accessible via a 20-min walk or 5 min drive, while some of Chania's most celebrated beaches, Seitan Limania and Stavros, are around a 10 min drive. The old town of Chania is 20 min, the airport 15 min and the port 20 min drive. There are hiking trails on Stavros mountains. Walking through agricultural back-roads lead to Agia Triada monastery where among others there is wine and olive oil tasting.
