Villa Eleftheria means 'Villa Freedom' in English and that is what you will experience during your stay. Located between the olive groves, this villa, together with 3 other semi-detached villas, is in a quiet location with beautiful views. The villa is a 30-minute drive from Heraklion Airport. Renting a car is not a must but gives you the opportunity to visit surrounding places of interest and beaches according to your interests. In Sissi itself there are many excellent restaurants for fish, meat and vegetarian dishes and even within walking distance of the villa you will find an excellent tavern in Epano Sissi.
Sissi is located near the Lassithi plateau and actually consists of two parts, Sissi by the sea and Epano (Upper) Sissi. Epano Sissi is the traditional village located five hundred meters from the seaside resort of Sissi. In recent decades, the entire area has developed enormously in terms of tourism. It was originally a fishing village that is located on a small harbor that resembles a fjord. The village is very cozy and around the harbor are many nice terraces. The village is located on a rocky coast, so it is best to swim in the harbor itself, where there is a small beach, or outside the village in an easterly direction. There are the beaches Boufos, Avlaki and a little further the beach at Kalimera Beach (all at 1.8 km).
