Villa Artisti Marathon is located on the slope of Schinias bay, overlooking the crystalline blue sea of South Evoikos which embraces the peaceful gulf of Marathon, a breath away from the historical battlefield. From the south east bedroom window one can distinguish the isles of Petalious, where the King used to vacation over the summers. The location of Villa Artisti Marathon is just 30km from Eleftherios Venizelos airport and 42km from the center of Athens, the exact distance of the classic Marathon run. One can visit nearby the Marathon Museum and the Tomb of Plataion, which was built in honor of the dead soldiers of the battle in Marathon (490bc), one of the most significant battles in Greek history. A few minutes’ drive you reach the archeological area of the Ramnounta, where you can catch the ferry boat to Nea Styra or South Evoia. 7 km away from the center of Marathon one can visit the unique marble dam with its artificial lake.
