I was born and raised in the area and creating this house with my husband and family has been a lifelong dream and adventure. I have spent many happy summers in the area and taken many dives in the waters of San George beach. My husband and our family are New York residents and we are also the co-owners of Mr. Souvlaki in Tarpon Springs, Florida, USA.

Villa Sofia is a modern villa, painted in Ochre color, built by my family on a beautiful hill top property that has been owned by my family for a generation, in the peaceful village of Kavadades, Pagon, Corfu. The hill top location gives you the heavenly, panaramic view of the surrounding hills covered with plush olive groves and view of the refreshing sparkling deep blue waters of San George Bay. Though the island of Corfu is extremely popular, I know that this village is a welcome respite from other typically over- crowded Greek tourist destinations.

The local area offers grocery stores, taverns and restaurants. Visit the next door village of Afionas to view a gorgeous sunset and a restaurant overlooking the bay. The beach offers water sport activities and hiking in the hills is very popular. St George church is located at the center of Kavadades.
How to find Villa Sofia: Get on "Ethnic Odos Paleokastritsas," it is the main artery/road and you will notice that it is a wide road with flowers in the middle. Then follow the signs for Paleokastrita-then sign for Scripero-then sign forTroumpeta-then sign for Agros-then sign for Dafni-then sign for Kavadades-then Villa Sofia is on the left. (30 kms)(18.6miles).
