Manthos and Julie Kapsetakis have both worked in the Crete hospitality industry for almost 40 years. Manthos as a car rental manager Julie, initially as a tour guide and overseas travel manager, later as a qualified Interior Designer,Event and holiday property manager. They have twin daughters Stephanie and Marianna, a dog called Stewart, and Harry... their feral cat. Manthos was born in Anopolis village,and grew up assisting his family with their farming activities and olive oil factory. Anopolis is a beautiful unspoilt village hidden behind the hills above the popular beach resort of Kokkini Hani. It has approximately 200 habitentsts, most of them farming families and younger people who work at the nearby hotels and tavernas in Kokkini. The villagers are well known for their warm hospitality and speak basic English and German. They are particularly welcoming and enjoy meeting visitors . The village is quiet during the day with the occasional visitors, who walk or cycle through the village. It livens up mostly during the evenings when holiday makers arrive to watch the traditional Cretan dance show that are held in the Cretan Fiesta Hall just outside of the village. Anopoliis becoming increasingly well known for its fine food products, as well as the local tavernas that offer drinks and delicious homemade delicacies at low prices.The traffic free streets and alleyways make Anopolis very safe, quiet and relaxing .
