I'm Marcela, your future host in the heart of Korčula – more precisely, in a house overlooking the sea, the promenade, and yes – two restaurants that know how to serve a good coffee, a great breakfast, and a very decent cocktail. Our house is located right on the promenade, literally just a few steps from everything you might need – the beach (100 meters, we measured it!), the ACY Marina, the bus station, shops, souvenir spots, boutiques (for those shopping impulses), cultural landmarks, and perhaps most importantly – the best places to eat and drink like a local. Right across the street, you'll find two restaurants perfect for morning coffee with a view, a glass of quality Korčula wine, or winding down in the evening with a cocktail (or two – we don’t judge). And yes, even though we’re in the middle of it all, don’t worry – the rooms are soundproofed, so you’ll sleep peacefully once the town winds down for the night. My family and I live in the same house and do our best to make every guest feel right at home – just with more sea, fewer chores, and no to-do lists stuck on the fridge. 🧡 I love this job because I love people – and I love sharing a piece of our way of life. I’ll happily recommend the best local beach, a konoba where “those in the know” eat, or point you toward the cultural gems of the town – all without needing to open Google Maps. We rent out rooms in a house over 200 years old, built during the time of Napoleon’s army. My husband is a descendant of a French soldier who came here back then, fell in love, and stayed – the house has been in the family ever since.
