Our homestay offers a cozy and simple stay with fresh air, mountain views, and delicious home-cooked meals (Indonesian upon request).
We are a local family living in Batutumonga, a beautiful mountain village at the foot of Mount Sesean. Our life here is simple yet full of warmth, and our daughter Angel is the only one who speaks English, making communication easy for our guests. Many visitors choose to stay with us before hiking Mount Sesean early in the morning, as our location is surrounded by stunning natural landscapes.
Beyond the mountain views, we also love to share the richness of Torajan culture. Our family owns a traditional Tongkonan house that is more than 100 years old, complete with its original old-style kitchen once used by our ancestors. We enjoy guiding our guests inside the Tongkonan, sharing stories about its history, traditions, and the deep philosophy of Torajan life.
We also often accompany guests to traditional ceremonies, funerals, or cultural festivals happening around Batutumonga. This way, staying at Angel’s Homestay is not just about accommodation, but also about experiencing warm Torajan hospitality, fresh mountain air, and the authentic culture of Toraja directly with the people who live it.
There are Tongkonan in one location with the Homestay. The guests can rest while meditation or enjoy view without any disturbance. Our location also near dfrom Tourist Attraction like Lo'ko'mata, Pana', Katorroan, Bamboo Forest, and Tinimbayo.
