Our homestay is a very simple but comfortable family home, surrounded by a small garden with vegetables, strawberries and flowers. Here, guests can enjoy a peaceful village atmosphere, listen to the sounds of chickens in the yard, and truly experience authentic local life.
The house is perfect place for couples, families, or travelers who want to relax in a natural environment. We live close to the mountain, so the air is fresh and cool throughout the day—and it can get quite cold at night. For your comfort, we recommend bringing warm clothes during your stay.
My name is Kristoforus Darmanto. I work as a civil servant and in my free time I love gardening and farming. I enjoy growing rice and coffee on my land and also take care of some free-range chickens.
I live with my lovely wife and our three children—two daughters and one son. Family means a lot to us, and we are happy to welcome guests into our home.
We live in a simple neighborhood close to the mountain area. It takes only about 10 minutes to reach the city center by motorbike or car. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, with fresh and cool air—especially at night.
There are also many interesting places to visit near Ruteng, such as the traditional cultural houses, the famous Wae Rebo “village above the clouds,” Liang Bua Cave (where the fossils of the “Hobbit” were discovered), and the unique spider web rice fields. We also have our own rice field, and if you would like, we can take you there to see it. For leisure, you can also visit Natas Labar Motang Rua, a local recreation park.
