A three bedroom house located in the environs of Lough Rynn surrounded by woodland and lakes, situated about 300 meters from Lough Rynn Castle and the beautiful walled gardens. The area is surrounded by tree lived avenues and old stone buildings. A popular location for weddings and special occasions. Take a short stroll to the castle and enjoy the wonderful vistas and parkland walks. The location is a haven for walkers, cyclists, boaters (Lough Rynn hosts national and international rowing competitions) and anglers.
We bought this property when it was built in 2006. We fell in love with Lough Rynn as a beautiful unspoilt location with so many trees and interesting plants, birds and animals. We have enjoyed it ever since. We use it as our holiday home and we have also let it to wedding guests and visitors. The house is immaculate kept by Margaret our local caretaker.
The house is located in a small square of semi-detached houses called Lord Leitrim Court. The back of the house overlooks Lough Errow. It's a very short walk to the castle, walled gardens and parklands. The area is steeped in history, it was the ancestral home of the Clements family who held the title of Lord Leitrim. There are some excellent books in the house on the history of Lough Rynn and the often turbulent times during the eighteen hundreds. Today, it is a very special location with a unique collection of trees and other plants.
