Ancient original cottage, simple with nature left wild. Steep openthread stairs , not suitable for elderly or infirm. The cottage is located in 45 acres of woods,peace and tranquillity with undisturbed nature. No gardens, tarmac or cement, just nature left wild with minimum disturbance. The 18th century house is maintained as originaly as possible with emphasis on the old but with the basics required for modern comfort. Many hill walks from house, with great views to the sea and mountains. *Openthread stairs may not be suitable for elderly or infirm or small infants of crawling age.*
Welcome to alderlane farmhouse, If old world living away from the stress of modern life is what you Seek then this will suit. Not a renovated cottage to modern standards with just an occasional hint to the past. We have tried to maintain as much of the old as possible, while creating a comfortable original place to enjoy. We hope you share our enthusiasm and love for this original old way of life, and enjoy your stay.
Local well known walks with quarry lake, historical sites and hill views as seen on tv, Tracks and trails. Worlds oldest working lighthouse, 30min. Johnstown castle, 2.5 km Tintern abbey 15km. Beaches 15km. Hill walks views from house.
