Glen Gat is run by husband and wife Tim and Catherine along with their daughter Helena. We are thirty year's in business this year. Catherine, left her job as legal secretary to work full time in 1990 in the guesthouse. Tim worked in Customs and Excise before taking early retirement to work full time at the BandB in 2005. Helena is a local broadcaster and works on creating content for third parties. She is passionate about social media and loves working in the guesthouse. All three hosts are passionate about customer service and recommending the best in food, night life and day activities for their guests to enjoy.

Our home dates back to the late 1800s. The decor is in keeping with the era but has the style of the boss, Tim, as he is an avid auction goer. We have two lounge facilities where guests can sit at their leisure to enjoy a social gathering or a quiet space to read a book. A smoking area is available, all other rooms are non-smoking. We've a large dining area for breakfast with a wide variety from cold cereals to a cooked meal. Service through the Irish language also available. We are a pet friendly Guesthouse.

The pub scene in Dundalk varies greatly and caters for all from those looking to socialise in a trendy bar with several beer types to those who just want to sip a drink while listening to traditional Irish music.
