We are very excited to welcome you to our lovely house, and know that you will really enjoy your stay here. We will try to facilitate you in any way possible - please just ask! You will experience a magical 250-year-old Georgian manor house which we began to restore 5 years ago. We fell in love with the house and its history, and we felt that it was massively important to help save this vital part of Ireland's historical and architectural heritage for posterity. We also really wanted to share the house with others as it's a house meant for guests! By staying with us, you're not only going to have a wonderful stay in one of our gorgeous rooms, you are also contributing to the ongoing restoration and preservation of this important house and property, so we, and the house, really appreciate it.

Lissanisky House is a magnificent Irish Georgian country house dating from 1770, just a 5-minute drive to Nenagh Co Tipperary and a 28-minute drive to Limerick city.
Lovingly and sympathetically restored to ensure a comfortable stay, this spacious house has 3 large bedrooms and one smaller double room, all rooms being en-suite.
Beautiful views greet you daily from your large bedroom windows with amazing views across verdant fields over to the Silvermines.
It stands on the site of a castle belonging to the O'Meara family. One of the house's most notable former owners was Dr Barry O'Meara; he was Napoleon's doctor in St. Helena and wrote the definitive book on Napoleon after his death. The house stands on 10 acres and includes its original Victorian walled garden which still produces apples, plums, pears, quinces and hazelnuts from trees planted about 150 years ago. Each bedroom at the front of the house has the most magnificent views of the North Tipperary pastoral landscape with the historic Silvermines Mountains in the distance.
Our rooms have been finished to the highest standards, with French chandeliers, antique furniture (except the Super King beds!), goose feather and down duvets and pillows, Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels and antique woollen rugs. All bedrooms are ensuite and feature walk-in rainfall showers; two of the bathrooms (O'Meara & Fortescue rooms) also have luxurious roll-top cast iron baths.
A brimming complimentary welcome hamper is provided containing breakfast foods and daily essentials.
A large front garden is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay, and features a peaceful Victorian fountain and barbecue area. A private chef is available on request as well as a wine list if you would like to pre-order some wine before arrival.
The house is only 7kms (5-min drive) from Nenagh and is just off the M7 motorway at junction 24. Using the M7 allows for a 28-minute travel time to Limerick and 1hr 15mins to Dublin.
