Nire Valley Eco Camp is simply bedrooms in a meadow. We provide comfortable indoor accommodation in an outdoor setting. The cabin design is unique and was specifically developed to suit the site here. There are just five cabins on six acres, each with panoramic views of the mountains.
This is a new type of glamping. The design and location enable us to create an experience of camping all year round. The scenery and weather in Spring and Autumn are particularly good. The cabins are very well insulated and have central heating providing comfort in every season. They are well separated and each has its own private deck, shower room/toilet and an outdoor (covered) camping kitchen.
There is a comfortable king-size bed in each cabin with an overhead sleeping deck for extra guests. All linen and towels are provided. A complimentary breakfast is also provided and is a combination of home baked bread, fresh eggs, granola, yoghurt, preserves and fruits.
Your host is Ruth, and Milo and Daisy my dogs, and I live on site. I've always enjoyed living in the Nire Valley and welcoming people here. Now even more people can enjoy this place at the cabins. If you enjoy the outdoors but have outgrown leaky tents or stubbed toes, wet feet and shared toilets, then this is the perfect accommodation for you. Always on hand to assist with queries, information, maps, advice, recommendations so you experience the personal touch during your visit.
Situated between the historic market town of Clonmel and Dungarvan, with its many great bars and restaurants, the Nire Valley Eco Camp is located in picturesque countryside, overlooking the Nire Valley. We are an ideal destination for pet lovers, with plenty of outdoor space, walks and freedom, combined with an award-winning dog friendly restaurant just 20 minutes drive away.
The Nire Valley is in the Comeragh Mountains and guests enjoy the easy access to the many walking and hiking routes that are all around us. Maps and route plans can be provided. The Waterford Greenway and the Suir Blueway are close by and are very popular with cyclists. The Clonanav Fly Fishing Centre is 2km away.
A 20 minute drive takes you to the Copper Coast, with too many secluded beaches and coastal walks to list.
County Waterford is (for now) the undiscovered county. You can enjoy everything that Ireland has to offer, including stunning scenery, amazing activities, great food and friendly people, all without the crowds of tourists that flock to the well known destinations. We like it this way.
