Hi, my name is Caitriona. I am looking forward to welcoming you to Muff Village, in scenic Inishowen, County Donegal, where the Wild Atlantic Way begins. Muff is close to the border with Northern Ireland, so you can experience the best of both regions when here. Donegal was named the coolest place on the planet by National Geographic magazine in 2017, and Derry was named UK City of Culture in 2013, so we are truly blessed in this part of the world!
I will meet you on arrival with the key. After that, I am only a phone call or message away and live nearby, so I am available should you have any questions or need help during your stay.
Muff is at the start of the Wild Atlantic Way, on the Inishowen 100 route, and close to the historic walled City of Derry.
Tank n Skinny's coffee shop and the Treehouse Restaurant are excellent options for dining out, while four nearby fast food takeaways offer convenient eating. The traditional Squealing Pig pub with regular live music provides an opportunity to experience local entertainment, while the nearby play park and Cabin Café offer a fun environment for families. Three local convenience shops and filling stations, an outdoor store and a clothing boutique, as well as other services like hairdressers, barbers, beautician, pharmacy and gift shop, make it easy for guests to access any necessity.
The location is 20 minutes from the City of Derry airport and 10 minutes from the Aircoach depot, which connects the North West to both Belfast and Dublin Airports. A bus stop beside the house has regular services to Derry City, Moville, Buncrana, and Letterkenny.
If you enjoy hiking, hill walking, or cycling, there is a lot of exploring you can do from the doorstep. We can provide information about the local area to get you started.
