Erumely is known for its religious significance as it serves as a major pilgrimage center for Hindus and Muslims. The town is famous for the Vavar mosque, dedicated to Vavar, a companion of Lord Ayyappa, and the nearby Sree Dharmasastha Temple, visited by devotees. There are many unexplored travel treasures nearby like Perunthenaruvi Waterfall, Anjukuzhi waterfalls etc.
