I’m a young entrepreneur with a background in hospitality. I previously worked as a hotel manager, where I gained valuable experience in creating comfortable stays and memorable guest experiences. Now, I’ve started my own venture with the goal of offering travelers a place that feels like home.
I’ve hired a team of skilled professionals to ensure the property is always well-maintained, clean, and welcoming. My priority is to provide every guest with comfort, convenience, and a warm, personalized experience.
Munroe Island, also locally known as Munroethuruthu, is a unique archipelago nestled where the Kallada River meets Ashtamudi Lake in Kollam district, Kerala . Comprising eight tiny islets spanning a total area of roughly 13.4 km², it forms a mesmerizing network of canals, lagoons, backwaters, and coconut groves
Life here unfolds at a gentle rhythm—residents go about their daily routines of coir-making, prawn farming, duck rearing, and fishing, often visible from the traditional canoe or boat tours that meander through the narrow water channels.
Cultural threads run deep. An intriguing landmark is the Dutch Church, built in 1878 in a beautiful blend of Dutch and Kerala architectural styles, standing as a symbol of the island’s colonial history and peaceful communal bonds . Another notable event is the Kallada Boat Race (Kallada Jalotsavam)—a vibrant snake boat regatta held on the Kallada River approximately 28 days after Onam, drawing visitors and racing teams alike.
