Rimil Homestay is a true labor of love, created by an architect-painter who has poured his heart into every detail. Each of the six rooms has its own charm, decorated with his personal artwork and furniture made from local wood. Some rooms come with a freestanding bathtub, while others delight with open-air showers that welcome in the morning sun and garden breeze.
At the center of the home is a beautiful wooden patio, cantilevered over a pond filled with fish. Here you can relax under high ceilings or share a meal in the dining area nearby. Winding staircases connect the spaces in playful ways, guiding light through carved brick screens and wooden panels. Upstairs, balconies and a rooftop terrace open to views of a garden full of flowers and vines.
Rimil is where art and architecture meet nature. Terracotta walls blend with glass and wood, ethnic fabrics sit beside clean modern lines, and cozy corners invite you to pause and take it all in. Each morning begins with a complimentary breakfast of local favorites, served in a dining room surrounded by your host’s personal library. More than just a stay, Rimil is a living gallery, a peaceful retreat, and a home filled with stories.
Your host is a painter by profession and a former student of Santiniketan, where his artistic journey first began. Alongside creating his own work, he shares his passion as a guest lecturer at the Indian Art College and has also built a name as an ethnic exterior designer. This home is his personal passion project—every corner reflects his love for art and the story of his journey so far. Staying here means being welcomed not just into a house, but into the living canvas of its creator
