Il Passeggere is a farming company and on our premises we have a farmhouse, restaurant, hunting grounds, Cinta Senese D.o.p. Cinta Senese pig farm and plenty of woods and fields.

Il Passeggere is a magical place whose name derives from the fact that it has been a passageway since thousand of years: the roman road Military Flaminia connecting Bologna to Fiesole-Florence passed through here, nowadays replaced by the Via degli Dei. Medieval muletrack between the valleys also used this mountain pass and pilgrims directed to the Bocca di Rio sanctuary could rest and eat in the very same building where you'll stay. We offer an amazing romantic suite with a working fireplace. The highlight of your stay with us will be the reatsurant, created in centuries old barn with exposed stones, wood and deer trophies all around. The most sought after spot is the fireplace room with a panoramic view. Our chef Massimiliano Mascalchi will take you through a culinary journey that will make you want stay with us, or at least come back for more. The recipes we serve are traditional tuscan. We breed Cinta Senese pigs, their meat is known for having a thick layer of good fat on the outside while maintaining a leaner muscle than normal pigs. We make our own cold cuts that you can purchase and taste at our restaurant.

We are only 10 minutes from the Pian del Voglio or Badia exit on the A1 highway between Florence and Bologna. The neighbourhood is woods and countryside, with the small village of Bruscoli only 2 minutes drive. The two big cities are reachable by car in under 50 minutes, the Mugello valley, with its beautiful landscapes, towns, circuit and outlet, is about 30 minutes drive. The Futa pass is only 8 minutes from us, with its monumental German war cemetery.
