well, I'll be quite direct... this is probably the best option available if you plan to spend one week or more in Scauri. that is true for so many reasons, including its extraordinary location, in the natural reserve of the Gianola and Monte di Scauri Park. Casa sul Monte d'Oro is only a few steps away from the beach and yet in a very quiet area, where you can actually enjoy the sea breeze among olive trees and relax... or else plan your night moves in the local summer movida.

Scauri is a place to visit mostly in spring and autumn. Here the climate is mild and you can easily find yourself enjoying the sun and the sea in march or october. In august the local movida might be too much, but in june and july it is not so crowded as it used to be years ago. That makes it a nice stay especially for families and nature lovers. This is the right place to stay also if you are looking for a not expensive and well-connected base camp to spend your holidays in the surroundings: only an hour from Naples and two from Rome by train, less than 30 minutes by car from the beautiful sea towns of Gaeta and Sperlonga, or the Baths of Suio... while daily trips to Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast or the islands of Ponza and Ventotene are pretty feasible and not too time consuming... a stay in Scauri is a good choice, and I'm sure you will know once you get there.
