I like meeting new people and the work of the host gives me the opportunity to share with them the city where I live, a little 'less known than the other Tuscan but very rich in attractions. That's why I wait for you with pleasure!
The Dimora del Viaggiatore is located in the Giuntalodi district, one of the four historic districts of the city: the house where it is located faced the walls and Porta del Serraglio, which were demolished in the mid-1800s to build the railway station of the same name, renovated and modified in 2003 with the construction of the pedestrian underpass, the underground car park and the University.
Contrary to that of other Tuscan cities, the historic center of Prato is rather compact and circumscribed, and can be easily crossed in a few minutes, allowing you to quickly reach many monuments of great historical and artistic interest.
The district is also very close to the Bisenzio river park, served by a very pleasant cycle-pedestrian path, frequented by sportsmen and women, from which public gardens equipped for children, skateboard and street basketball tracks can be easily reached.
The "Terra di Prato" market is also held nearby, where you can buy short-chain products on Saturday mornings. Shops, restaurants, bars, chemist's, doctor's surgery and supermarkets available within a radius of a few meters to two kilometers complete the list of services that distinguishes this historic district, in a generally very peaceful setting.
