Sitting on the top of the first hill of the Soglio village, Locanda del Sale is set in a classic italian family House with a long story, recently renovated (2019/2022) but still showcasing all the charms of times past.
Due to the mild climate the tree covered mountains and lush green fields of Fontanabouna valley stay beautiful all year long. This place is pure peace of mind. Still, the sea is only a short drive away.
The Locanda is a municipal property, based on the local testimonials it has been first a convent after the second world war and later a school.
Right now the house can offer three different kind of accommodation.
One full equipped and spacious apartment.
One cosy studio flat with private bathroom and kitchenette.
One bedroom equipped for breakfast and private bathroom.
Parking is provided at no extra cost.

The Soglio tiny village is a few amount of privite houses therefore we advice all our guests that we are 2 km far from restaurants, markets and all city services.

The Locanda del Sale in Soglio is part of Orero, a small town of Fontanabuona Valley in the Ligurian hinterland. Close by you’ll find The Levante Ligurian coast with its famous seaside resorts. Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Camogli and Sestri Levante can all be reached by car within 30-40 minutes.
The mountain sites of the Ligurian Apennine are interesting too. Santo Stefano d’Aveto features the Maggiorasca Mountain with ski slopes during winter and a vast Parco Naturale Regionale. You could also visit the Ramaceto Mountain or some of the many tiny villages of the Sturla Valley. This is where you’ll find amazing cheeses, honey, nuts and chestnuts.
The capital of Liguria, Genoa, with its unique mix of opulence and harbor rogue is a 40-minute drive. Must visit the hidden gem of medieval town Chiavari holding a porticoed pedestrian street of half a mile, lined with all kinds of shopping experiences. Chiavari also hosts a daily fruit and vegetable market.
