Villa La Francigena has been designed to tap into the tranquility of Tuscan living. The villa can hosts families or groups up to 10 people, in a typical stone-built barn nestled in the peaceful countryside just a few mins driving from two famous medieval towns: San Gimignano and Certaldo. If you're looking for a cozy retreat with a big private pool, you're in the right place. Restaurants, supermarket, train station etc. are easily reached in 10 mins by car. Siena and Florence are about 1h away. Guests have the exclusive use of the entire villa, including the fully fenced 1,800 sqm garden. The pool measures 7x14 mt, with a depth of 1.20 to 2.40 mt (open from April 26 to September 27, 2025). In addition guests can enjoy a brand new 5-seats hot tub with heated water (available all year around). There is a wood-fired oven (wood provided) and two built-in barbecues. A washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board and a ping pong table are also available for guests' use. Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms only (not on the mezzanine) however once it's turned on all other spaces cool down rather quickly. During summertime we also provide a few fans. Instead, heating is centralized (GPL). The price includes: welcome basket, spices for cooking, costs of water-electricity-gas-air conditioning-heating, free Wi-Fi (60 mega), linen-towels-pool towels with weekly change (further linen changes or housekeeping service are available on request, with extra charge). Baby equipment such as cot (max 2), high chair (max 2) and changing mat (1) are free and we can provide them to you if booked in advance. Pets fee Euro 100,00 per pet/stay. Small size pets admitted only (max 2 dogs of 15kg).
The villa can be reached from the nearby hamlet of Pancole along a stretch of dirt road for about 800 meters. The road is well maintained but not served by public transport. Having a car is therefore recommended to reach the property and to move around the area. Monteriggioni is 25 km away, Siena and the Chianti Region 45 km. The closest airports are Florence and Pisa, 55km and 80km respectively.
