The ancient village of Lonato develops around the Rocca castle, and boasts a very complex historical past. The old town is worth a visit thanks also to the presence of its two castles: La Rocca, behind the town, and the Castello di Drugolo. The Cathedral of Lonato, dedicated to St. John the Baptist, is characterized by a large dome and a beautiful marble facade. Lonato also offers a small beach that local citizens call "Lido di Lonato", with bars and restaurants, pedal boats and canoes for hire. If the weather allows, tourists will be welcomed into the La Quiete Water Park, where fun will be guaranteed by the attractions and relaxation by the spas. The city of Lonato hosts in the Castle an exhibition about flowers and the famous Agricultural Fair which every year attracts tourists from all over the world. The international airport of Verona can be reached in just 40 minutes by car.
