Eric Hemmendinger is an Aircraft Mechanic, French National living in Japan for more than 15yrs, with the help of his Filipina wife Maria Theresa Hemmendinger, A Graphic Artist by profession, Film Editor & Visual Storyteller. Fully furnished traditional Japanese "Wood Interior design" made of quality Hi-End Timber woods.
The house was renovated with each own perspective, following Japanese Architecture.
Since Eric is knowledgeable with 日本建築, "Nihon Kenchiku" (Japanese Architecture),
This shelter inn comes in a meticulous and outcome process with French and Filipino synthesis of styles & means.
As foreigners living in a foreign land, Eric and Matte combined their forces.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Neighborhood is quiet and homey. BIGHEM MAISON ビッグヘム メゾン is situated on a quiet residential street of Tsuruhara, Izumisano City, Osaka. A great way to experience the actual Japanese town.
Just 4mins walk from the train station which has a regular service from Kansai airport to downtown Osaka. 5min-15min walk from different establishments as well as being close to local shops, supermarket, authentic clothing shops, post office and many more. With number of fine restaurants in the area plus a 24-hour Japanese food chain (Sukiya, Hatago Sushi, Marugo RaMen, Lawson, Pisola -Italian restaurant, McDonalds, Ubei Sushi (made to order) and many more.
GETTING AROUND THE AREA: Because the house is very near the local train station of Tsuruhara, it is fast to visit Tourist spots. Bighem Maison is just 4min walk from the train station and in NANKAI Line area.
This is the most convenient railway for tourist destinations like Namba, Central Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, Kobe and Wakayama.
Going back the airport is more convenient too! Bighem Maison is just 4 stations away from Kansai Airport.
