*** STAY IN THE HEART OF KANDY WHERE THE ACTION IS!*** We are a downtown hotel within 1 Km of the train station. All tourist sites are in the vicinity of our hotel. A guest can walk to these historical sites and devote their precious time exploring the UNESCO world heritage city of Kandy. Be inside the city where all the action is, and the guests must not miss a moment of this valuable time. There is so much to do in Kandy that some travelers decide to stay here after seeing her beauty. The well-known pinnacle of this nation “Sri Dalada Maligarva” (aka temple of tooth) is in the vicinity of our hotel. Early morning, the drums of the tooth temple can be heard from our hotel.
35 years back, Me and my husband is one of the pioneers to start a bed and breakfast in Kandy. However, the past ultra Marxist JVP unrest of this nation brought tourism to a halt. This made us look for alternatives. Thereby, I invested in a bakery and restaurant. I am a reputed businessman in Kandy, and it took me 35 years to establish this reputation.
Downtown Kandy is typical Sri Lankan urban area. In front of the 256 Townhouse Rest is the main road D.S.Senanayake Street.
