I am a British guy who loves spending time in Sri Lanka. My villas are in the Ambalangoda area, that has amazing palm fringed beaches and a 390 hectare lake. I have a local partner and team and we are hoping to welcome you soon, so that you can enjoy the best of Sri Lankan hospitality.
Ambalangoda is a bustling town with many things to see and is regarded as the heart and soul of southern art and culture, with its gifted mask artists (see the famous mask workshop and museum), historic bell tower and temple and as a centre for antiques. The area contains some of the most beautiful palm-fringed beaches on the west coast.
Not far from the quiet beaches, the 390 hectare Madampe lake creates a unique biodiversity and there are a great variety of birds, wildlife, different types of vegetation and fish. Take a trip in our boat and relax, whilst listening to the birds and enjoying the serenity of the lake.
Ambalangoda has both railway and bus stations and is about 13 km from the Southern Expressway (E01).
Not far away can be found the longest reclining Buddha statue in South Asia, a moonstone mine, turtle and fish farms and the lively town of Hikkaduwa. Within just over 30 minutes by tuk tuk is the renowned Galle Fort UNESCO World Heritage Site. The famous Sinharaja rainforest, the Udawalawe wildlife park, the city of Kandy with the sacred Temple of the Tooth or a tea estate and factory can be reached during a one day trip, which our villa manager can arrange.
