We live in a 10 year old architect-designed house with natural air-conditioning set in a peaceful village environment 10 minutes drive from the new bus station in Anuradhapura. The house sits in a garden surrounded by organic heritage fruit trees and vegetables. The garden attracts many birds and other wildlife. Nutritious, health-conscious organic meals are provided every day, and vegetarian options are our specialty, It is far from the noise and pollution of traffic. We also have a small piece of land nearby where guests can enjoy a similar natural environment for meditation or relaxation.

We are a young family with three young children, 13, 11 and 9. I am a school teacher and my husband is a civil engineer, but we love gardening, preparing healthy food, and enjoying family activities together. We decided to open our home to guests because we want to share our vision and enjoyment of life in Sri Lanka with visitors from different cultures. We especially like to welcome other young families into our home.

Although the attractions of the ancient city of Anuradhapura are situated nearby, our home is set in a peaceful location away from the busy urban environment of the city.
