Ir pieejami velosipēdi uz īri, līdz ar to ir iesējams izplānot ģimenes velo izbraukumu pa "Zaļo dzelzceļu", kas atrodas netālu (500m) no viesu nama, šis maršruts stiepjas no Ieriķiem līdz Gulbenei, kas ved cauri Amatas, Cēsu, mūsu Vecpiebalgas, Raunas un Jaun­pie­balgas novadiem, 101 km garumā. Viesu nams "SAKNĪTES" piedāvā ne tikai guļbaļķu mājiņu, kur pavadīt jaukas brīvdienas ar ģimeni, ar visām ērtībām, bet ir iespēja arī atsevišķi noīrēt istabas, kas atrodas blakus mājā, kur ir pieejama koplietošanas virtuve, lielā zāle.
