The guest house is situated on the old Kasbah wall and next to the steps leading to the Rue de La Kasbah you will find yourself at the best location to explore the old Kasbah, Medina and new city of Tangier. Kasbah Rose has 5 double rooms from which 2 have their own balcony and one with a private terras. The cozy roof terrace offer spectacular North/East views over the Bay of Tangier and city view towards the south. The Dutch owners Hans (1953 to 2019) and Lorraine(1958) have been living in Tangier from 1985 and with their 3 sons took on the renovation in 2014. All work was done by local “mahlems”, craftsmen each specialised in their own field. The floors are done with Bezjmat stone tiles from Fes and the bathrooms have “Zelige” tiles (glazed baked stone tiles) on the walls with the shower walls finished with authentic “tadlak” (a shiny coloured cement layer and finished with wax).The Kleinveld family originate from the Netherlands. They first came to expand their textile company which stayed their main business. Over the next 37 years, many other entrepreneurial missions would follow with a concrete tile factory, starting a private school and an Indian restaurant. Together, they also got involved in real estate, selling, managing and renovating properties and still are. At Kasbah Rose you find a private collection of the family’s international life and travels. The interior of Kasbah Rose is a mixture of decoration styles. You will find Moroccan art and furniture but also colonial, African and some Dutch touches. Welcome!
