‘Id-Dwejra’ bears the name of a small simple country house. It is situated in the outskirts of the picturesque village of Rabat and close to Dingli Cliffs area.
Rent Rooms - A unit with two bedrooms and a shared bathroom is situated adjacent to the main house. Each room sleeps up to 2 persons comfortably and is ideal for couples. The house boasts a lush garden, complete with a comfortable lounge area and a magnificent pool with a jacuzzi. The pleasant and spacious deck area is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. The pool is used by the host family (a couple) and you are welcome to use it at your own leisure.
Mark and Flavia enjoy travelling and meeting different people and are keen to share the same experiences with other travellers and likewise reciprocate the hospitality received. The couple promise to do their utmost to offer the best service for an unforgettable experience. Flavia is also a mosaic artist while Mark takes pride in the upkeep of the garden.
The house is located in a small hamlet in the countryside and is surrounded by fields. It is ideal for travellers who are keen on trekking, long walks and picnicking especially during the spring and winter seasons.
In the summer season, one can enjoy the beaches of Bugibba, Gnejna, Golden Sands and Ghajn Tuffieha area which are located approximately half an hour’s drive from the residence. Since the accommodation is about 20 to 25 minutes on foot from the nearest bus station, it is recommended that guests make arrangements for transport (car or motorbike) to facilitate commuting. Various taxi companies also operate on the island.
The house is very close to the old capital city of Mdina better known as ‘The Silent City’. History lovers will find that Rabat is a gem of historic sites. The area also boasts of various good and stylish restaurants.
It is worth mentioning that the area is at close walking distance (20 minutes) from the picturesque Dingli Cliffs area from where one can view the protected island of ‘Filfla’. This is an excellent location where sunset lovers can enjoy unobstructed views whilst sipping a glass of wine or a local beer.
