If you want to be right by the sea in Malta, this is the right place! Open the door and off to bathe, it doesn't get any better than that! However, there is no beach, just rocks, but there are ladders or bays with entry or a platform everywhere. You should definitely wear swimming shoes, even though we didn't see any sea urchins. Xgħajra has a beautiful promenade along the coast and from the apartment you can take a leisurely walk to the right towards Marsakala with some beautiful rocky coves to explore. Bus 94 runs to Valletta every 30 minutes; the bus stop is also right outside the door. Or you can take one of the usual car services, the prices are quite reasonable. From the apartment, on the left, you can quickly reach the newly built Shoreline Mall and SmartCity, where there is a supermarket and also Decathlon, if you need water sports or other sports equipment - very convenient! There is also a cafe and three restaurants with sea views. The CHOCAFÉ is especially recommended; very friendly service and good cake and coffee. Otherwise, there is only one English pub and one restaurant in Xgħajra (El Catalan with Seascape takeaway), which is also recommended; reasonable prices, good food and large portions. The landlord is very communicative, helpful, and always available to answer questions. Thank you very much for that! The apartment has three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. There were four of us there, but generally up to six people can stay overnight. We only used the kitchen for breakfast, but everything you need to cook is there if you want. On the first floor, which is almost at ground level and opens onto the open backyard, there is a large terrace where you can dry your laundry or swimwear. The three-bedroom apartments do not have a sea view, only the two-bedroom apartments, so please note this. But you can just sit on the promenade in the morning to watch the sunrise!
