Our homestay is located in a calm countryside village called Taun Gusi surrounded by rice paddy fields with a beautiful view of the majestic Mt. Kinabalu. Guests can expect a quiet and calm place with welcoming and friendly neighbors located close to beautiful areas such as the river, beach and Kinabalu national park. My small countryside homestay is suitable for couples, solo adventurers and families (with kids).
Our guests can expect a real experience in rural Sabah, getting to know the traditions, the wildlife and the kindness of its people. While our guests are staying with us, they are always offered to participate in the following activities: * Horse/Buffalo riding * River safari/Cruises ( Proboscis monkey + firefly ) * River picnic * Beach picnic * Cutural performance * Visit to rice field or places of interest around. * Traditional costume try-on * Bird watching * Cooking learning * Bajau parang making demonstration
Our place is not too far from the beach (about 20 km), and there is a fishing village nearby. You can witness the day-to-day life of the fishermen as they go to sea and always back with their catch. Furthermore you can find Bajau Horsemen in the village. they are always happy to show you their riding skills. These Bajau horsemen are also known as ' The Cowboys of the East '.
