We look forward to welcoming you to De Meije, a charming retreat nestled in the heart of nature.
Allow yourself to fully unwind and be pampered during your stay at our bed & breakfast.
B&B De Meije is situated in the Green Heart of Holland, close to the picturesque village of De Meije.
The nearby towns of Nieuwkoop and Bodegraven are just a short distance away.
We have loved living here for many years and in 2022 we transformed our barn into two beautiful residences, each 48m² in size. Both accommodations are thoughtfully furnished with every comfort in mind.
There is also a spacious communal indoor area, making our B&B ideal for groups of friends.
The terrace offers a stunning view over the winding Meije river.
If you have a small boat, feel free to bring it along, our B&B has its own jetty, or you can use one just 300 meters away.
Prefer to explore by kayak? You’re welcome to rent one of ours and paddle along the Meije.
Within just 10 minutes, you’ll reach the Nieuwkoopse Plassen, where you can experience the quintessential Dutch landscape.
Outdoors:
Our spacious farmyard provides ample free parking for your car.
If you have a small boat, you’re welcome to moor it at our private jetty or at another jetty just 300 meters away.
Enjoy the water:
Rent one of our kayaks and explore the beautiful surroundings, we’ve mapped out a scenic kayak route for you. The Nieuwkoopse Plassen can be reached by boat via the Meije in just 10 minutes.
Go for a bike ride:
You can safely store your (electric) bicycle in our secure bike shed, which also has a charging point and is conveniently located next to the terrace. Set out on one of the many cycling routes through the Green Heart, starting right from B&B De Meije. Along the way, discover local farm products and charming restaurants. E-bikes are also available for rent.
Take a stroll:
Explore the nature reserve around the Nieuwkoopse Plassen, with plenty of walking trails nearby for both short and long hikes. Lusthof de Haeck, a historic cultivated nature reserve, also offers a delightful walking route.
