The B&B is situated in a former vicarage build in 1933. Lots of original elements in the house remind of that era. We named the two guest rooms after two frisian heroes, namely after the dancer Mata Hari and the painter Jopie Huisman. There is a lounge for our guests and in the garden you can also find nice places to sit and relax. The villa is close to the Ijsel lake and the many Frisian lakes, at a small cycling distance from the nostalgic ports Stavoren (3 km), Hindeloopen (7 km) and Workum (15 km).
Kees is Head of the Garden, he cares for everything that grows and flourishes. Linda is Head of the Building and Guests, she cares for everything in and around the house. Our ducks and chickens peel in the meadow, our suppliers of fresh eggs for breakfast. The fruit harvest from the garden is regularly processed into jam. We' ll do our best to give you a pleasant stay.
The little village of Warns is not discovered by tourists. There are several marinas and a good bar-restaurant that is open all year round. The South West of Friesland is a great place for cycling, hiking or boat cruising. You can enjoy the many Frisian lakes, historic harbor towns, fine restaurants, Ijsselmeer beaches, Gaasterland forests, museums, mills and more ..... Amsterdam is also only a 90-minute drive away.
