Our forest house Dreamstay Gorssel is located on a small vacation park in the middle of the forests of Gorssel. Our 4 person forest house is new (2024) and has many modern conveniences. There is plenty of light which makes it feel spacious and pleasant inside. In the living room there is a comfortable sofa and sitting chair. When you are not out and about you can relax here, catch up with each other, read a book, have a drink or watch television. The Smart TV is equipped with apps such as Netflix, Videoland, NLZiet and Youtube. You can log in to this with your own account. At the dining area there is room for 4 people at the cozy round table. Besides eating together, this table is ideal for playing games! From the dining area you have a good view of our squirrel feeder, so get the camera ready! The new luxury kitchen is fully equipped so you can enjoy cooking together. The kitchen has plenty of cupboard space and is equipped with a dishwasher, induction hob, large fridge freezer, oven, microwave and even a washing machine. Baking an oven dish or pizza in the oven, it's all possible here. There is sufficient kitchen inventory to prepare your own delicious meals. For coffee drinkers, our kitchen has a Dolce Gusto coffee cup machine, with which you can make espresso, cappucino or hot chocolate in addition to coffee. There are 2 bedrooms in the forest house. One bedroom has a double bed. The other bedroom has 2 single beds. All beds are box spring beds with comfortable memory foam toppers so you can sleep well. Of course, a nice bathroom with plenty of storage space can not be missed. When showering, you can choose between a luxurious rain shower or a hand shower. Also located in the bathroom a washbasin with storage space, a large mirror, the extraction system, a radiator and the toilet.

We are Matthijs and Kim. Since 2024 we own our vacation home in Gorssel. A wonderful place to relax with lots of nature and tranquility. We would like to share this special place with others at the times that we do not (can not) use it ourselves.

Gorssel is located halfway between the historic Hanseatic cities of Deventer and Zutphen (both about 5 km away). The village also lies along the river IJssel, at the edge of extensive forests and the Gorsselse heath. Here begins the coulisse landscape of the Achterhoek. Our forest house is located in the woods at Landhuis Amelte on a small and quiet vacation park. During your stay you will be in the middle of forest life with birds and squirrels. In front of the park you will find restaurant Bij Janssen & Janssen, which has a very cool indoor and outdoor playground for the kids! From the park you can walk or cycle into the woods or onto the Gorsselse Heide. The immediate vicinity has many hiking and biking opportunities including a MTB route. You can also take a dip in the nearby outdoor pool 'de Boskoele' (approx. 1.2 km). On the nearby river De Berkel you can supp and canoe. The village center of Gorssel is within walking distance (approx. 1.4 km) has several surprisingly nice stores, restaurants and museum MORE. Museum MORE is the largest museum for Modern Realism in Europe. It attracts approximately 200,000 visitors annually. Restaurant Loetje Gorssel is well known for its steak. A visit to the historic and beautiful Hanseatic cities of Zutphen or Deventer should not be missed. Or a nice day trip is a combined visit to the smallest city in the Netherlands, Bronckhorst, and Hanseatic city Doesburg (rich in about 150 monuments). The Achterhoek is known for its beautiful castles and country houses. E.g. Cycle the eight castles route: the ultimate cycling route to visit the beautiful nature and magnificent castles in the area. Recreational area Bussloo is about 9 km cycling distance (about 16 km by car). Here are beautiful beaches and many water sports facilities. There is a special children's beach with a slide and water play equipment. On the recreation area is also the famous wellness Thermen Bussloo with 16 unique sauna facilities.
