ur beautiful villa is located in a quiet and green location on the edge of Swalmen, close to the center and station. This villa was built in 1917. Behind the characteristic facade is our beautiful private domain. Our villa is located on a beautiful plot of 4500m2. In the park-like backyard with lawn, oak, birch and beech trees, our B&B "De Eppenbeek" is tucked away, and an outbuilding with high-quality materials and completely covered with cedar wood. This outbuilding is currently in use as a garage and studio space. The B&B is named after the Eppenbeek, which is located 50m from our plot in the direction of Asselt. It is a meander of the Maas that flows from Boukoul to Swalmen and flows into the river Swalm. Our B&B is a former garage that has been renovated and is literally embedded in nature and as such completely integrated into the environment. The B&B is completely covered with ivy and plants on the outside. This domain offers optimal privacy for our guests. The garden is located at the back against a forest nature reserve, the Swalmtal, which is crossed by the streams Eppenbeek and Swalm.
Attention for guests from 2026: As of January 1, 2026, a new VAT rate for overnight stays will apply. It will increase from 9% to 21%. The prices of our B&B will be adjusted accordingly from January.
After a warm welcome and introduction to the B&B, I grant guests their privacy. When necessary, and on demand, I like to support. I am very service-oriented, with an emphasis on hospitality and hygiene. This is due to my 40 years of experience working in healthcare. For the guests there is a separate entrance to the plot and also a private parking space. Upon arrival, they receive keys that give access to the B&B and the entrance gate. Bicycles and motorbikes of guests can of course also be stored free of charge in the garage at the B&B. There is also a swimming pool in the garden. This swimming pool can be booked optionally during the summer.
B&B De Eppenbeek is completely non-smoking. B&B DE Eppenbeek can be booked with / or without breakfast. As an extra option you can choose our Finnish Sauna. Costs for the Sauna are 25, - (in cash) per calendar day. Swimming pool (only 07-09 - free of charche).Pieterpad hikers can be dropped off or picked up before 10,-, on day 2 of their stay. This only applies to Montfort destination and not on a check-in or check-out day! If you want to receive visitors, you can only do so with the permission of the owner. Visitors are also not allowed to use the available facilities. Not even for a fee.
