Welcome to our charming and simple family cabin, perfect for those who want an authentic cabin experience with peace and quiet!
The cabin faces west, which means long evenings in the sun and magical sunsets!
Simple and Practical Comfort
The cabin has an open living room and kitchen, equipped with everything you need:
3 bedrooms with space for 6 guests. It’s possible to sleep two extra people on the sofa bed, but the cabin may feel a bit cramped.
Simple bathroom with shower and Cinderella incineration toilet.
A normally equipped kitchen with refrigerator (no freezer) and a small countertop dishwasher in the adjoining storage room. Coffee maker, Nespresso machine, and electric kettle are available. Some hand washing of dishes must be expected.
The cabin has water from a drilled well – we use it for cooking, coffee, showering, etc., but we recommend bringing your own drinking water (we can provide about 30 liters of drinking water for guests).
Modern Amenities
Despite its simple style, the cabin offers both internet and TV with Google Chromecast. You can heat the cabin with both fireplace and stove (firewood included), or use electric heating. Outside, there’s a cozy patio with table, benches, fire pit, and outdoor fireplace. There’s also a small covered terrace.
We are an active family of five – two adults and three children aged 9, 9, and 6 – who love spending time together at the cabin. For us, this is a place where everyday life fades away, and where we create memories that last.
Here we’ve had countless ski trips on the cross-country trails, roasted marshmallows around the fire pit, and enjoyed long evenings with board games and hot chocolate by the fireplace.
The cabin is not just a place we visit; it’s our home away from home. It’s simple, yet full of charm and warmth – just the way we like it. We’ve celebrated birthdays here, spent winter holidays, and enjoyed sunny Easter days on the terrace. Autumn is perfect for hikes and bike rides, ending with cozy evenings by the fire pit outside.
We hope that as our guest, you will feel the same peace and joy that we do, and that you too can create wonderful memories with your loved ones.
We kindly ask that you take good care of the cabin, as we do. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the patio, embrace the stillness, and let the kids discover the same joy in the forest, snow, and mountains as ours do. Thank you for helping us keep our little oasis in great shape. We truly hope you’ll enjoy your stay as much as we do!
Safe travels – and welcome home to our little cabin adventure! 🌲🏡
The cabin is located right between the two central areas of Norefjell, Skistua and Bøeseter. At the same time, it’s completely private, with only two other cabins nearby. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet, surrounded by mountains and nature – while still being in the very heart of Norefjell.
Activities right outside the door
Alpine skiing: We carry our skis up to the cross-country trail and skate into the alpine slopes – the kids do the same. On the way back, we glide straight back to the cabin (with a few skate pushes). Alternatively, it’s just a 2-minute drive to the ski center parking areas.
Cross-country skiing: The trail network is only 150 meters away, with snowmobile tracks for easy access. Just put on your skis right outside the cabin!
Winter walking trails (“Labbeløyper”): Explore the popular Labbeløype network – the cabin is located right in the middle of it. These are winter walking paths on snow, perfect if you want to enjoy the mountain without skis, or just take the dog for an evening stroll.
Randonnée: Ideal area for ski touring in untouched mountain terrain.
Norefjell Ski & Spa: Relax or recharge with swimming pools, restaurants, climbing wall, and a full spa facility.
Mountain biking: A fantastic area for cycling. Bring your own bike or rent e-bikes at Norefjell Ski & Spa.
Hiking: Enjoy the high mountains on foot. The cabin is a perfect starting point for both short hikes and full-day mountain adventures.
