The cabin is located right behind the Cable Bay Campground, which is mostly booked out during the 3 weeks of summer holiday season from Christmas onwards. So you can expect many tents beside and in front of the cabin during those 3 weeks. The rest of the year there are only a few or no tents beside and in front of the cabin and it's mostly peaceful and quiet here.
The beach is only 5 minutes walk from the cabin and is nice for swimming in mostly crystal clear water at the far end, in summer, especially around low tide.
In spring you can see calves and lambs on our farm beside the cabin.
There is the Cable Bay Cafe and the Cafe at the Cable Bay Adventure Park nearby. Check for their opening ours online.
