Colenso Cottage, heritage listed, Boutique Accommodation on Napier Hill, Hawkes Bay. The original home of William Colenso, Explorer & Missionary, now renovated to a high standard for your indulgence and comfort. Colenso Cottage is set in a fantastic location with stunning views just outside the front door. A short walk of town. Colenso Cottage is fully self-contained with a large master bedroom, comfy king sized bed with beautiful linen. A stunning dark leather studded sofa compliment the tastefully decorated open plan living area, fully equipped kitchen & laundry. Netflix & Wi-Fi are there for your comfort & convenience. Sit back and relax on one of the native wooden sun-loungers in the private sunny courtyard or enjoy breakfast on the wrought iron table and chairs as you take in the views over Te Mata Peak through to the Kaweka ranges. A breakfast basket can be arranged if requested. Katie welcomes you to come and experience this special piece of New Zealand’s history. Colenso Cottage is available for a longer stay if so desired. Weddings please inquire, rates will differ to advertised price.
Colenso Cottage is situated in a upmarket st, with well established homes and friendly quiet neighbours. Parking is always available on the roadside just outside the cottage. The cottage is within a few minutes walk to town, close to many restaurants and amenities. It is 10 - 15 minute walk to McLean park, 10 minute drive to local wineries and all Hawkes Bay has to offer. The Hawkes Bay wine region is 12th best wine region in the world. Hawkes Bay has wonderful cycling tracks, an award winning winery region with top notch restaurants. Local markets with fresh produce are available to visit each weekend. Cape Kidnappers Golf course is rated the 10th best golf course outside of the US by Golf Magazine and is located a 30 minute drive away. Also Cape Kidnappers boasts the worlds largest mainland gannet colony with tours available.
