Country Homestead is a beautiful place to spend a couple of days. Guest Suites are large and comfortable with lovely views, guests have the use of a formal restful lounge/library, sunny conservatory and lovely outdoor areas. Country Homestead is a large homestead with beautiful native bush behind. On the property you can spot tui, morepork (little owl), pukeko, pheasant, quail, kingfisher, wood pigeon and rosella parrots along with many other birds. Kiwi have been heard in the bush behind the Homestead.

Welcome to Country Homestead. We are the Uphof Family, (Lisa, Anthony and our 2 daughters). We pride ourselves in giving our guests a warm welcome, a comfortable and enjoyable stay and lots of local knowledge.

Waipu town was settled by the Scottish 160 years ago. The heritage is very strong today with many of the descendants from the ships still living in Waipu today. The Waipu Cove/Langs Beach area is a beautiful part of the East Coast of Northland. Within minutes of the Homestead there are 2 beautiful white sandy beaches, native bush and forest areas, and in the local area you can visit a waterfall, glow-worm Caves, Coastal walks, golf, horse riding, surfing, swimming, and good dining options. There is plenty to do in the area to make this a great destination between the Bay of Islands and Auckland.
