La Casa Al Mare is the Italian translation of 'the house by the sea' which perfectly sums up not only the location but the unique style of the house it's the fabulous character.
This wonderfully inviting home is set on a large partially fenced section on the far edge of a working farm, so the land has been well-landscaped and offers mature shady trees, fruit trees, a picturesque pohutukawa tree, and lush flowers.
The interior has all you need to make the place feel like home, including a spacious open-plan living area downstairs, WiFi to post a pic of the view, a Smart TV for entertainment at the end of the day, a wood-burning fireplace for winter getaways, and of course the BBQ for classic summer meals hot off the grill.
Golden Bay is considered the sunniest place in New Zealand, so make sure you head out to explore this beautiful region. For the keen adventurer, Salisbury Falls, Tata Beach, Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks are a scenic drive away, and well worth the visit. You'll also be a short drive from the heart of Takaka village, where you'll be charmed by the museum, movie theatre, and quaint shops and cafés.

Golden Bay offers visitors a chance to experience the two very different national parks (Abel Tasman and Kahurangi), both are situated close to the town. Popular tracks through Kahurangi National Park can be started from Golden Bay, as can 4WD Tours to the scenic Farewell Spit. Te Waikorupupu (Pupu) Springs are renowned for being the clearest in the world. Other popular spots in Golden Bay are the Aorere Goldfields, Wharariki Beach, and the Westhaven Inlet, as well as the many cafes and boutique arts stores.
