Wake in the morning to sunrise and coffee on the verandah. If you are not busy on your own outdoor adventures spend the day enjoying the tranquil light of our fully fenced, characterful garden, where you'll discover ancient roses, mature fruit trees, natives trees and shrubs, along with the birdsong of the resident native birds who are easily observed. Take an easy stroll to the golden sands, in the evening, watch the moonrise, or stargaze the night away.
Unlatch the French doors, walk through from the living space and settle onto the sundeck to enjoy alfresco living and dining under the grape vine covered pergola. Fire up the gourmet gas BBQ, and get into holiday chef mode.
Kids will love the garden – there’s a no-springs-design trampoline, a children's swing, swingball and petanque to use on the large grassy areas. There’s also a local kids playground, Newhaven Reserve, located in the next block over - an easy walk.
If, after a busy day, an afternoon siesta is just what you need, you'll love being able to put your feet up in the master bedroom opening out onto the wide veranda with a garden outlook. If you're sleeping upstairs, enjoy views of the sea, dappled sunlight, treetops, and even the stars through large skylights. With time on your hands set yourself up with an interesting read from the extensive library of books, a treasured lifetime collection, many of particular relevance to the Tasman region.
During those colder months, Secret Garden Lodge has a super efficient wood-burning fireplace that warms the whole house. The bathroom is well-heated and all the beds have electric blankets available. Prepare to get cosy!
