This colonial style two storied holiday home is an ideal space for families as well as creative writers and music buffs. There’s room for extended family groups, sleeping up to 10. Upstairs you will find four bedrooms with dormer windows and captivating views. Downstairs is a main bathroom and a 'mini' bathroom, kitchen, living and sitting rooms and a library. A gorgeous macrocarpa hedge frames the lawn, with outdoor furniture, a covered verandah and space for everyone.
Choose a title from one of the best private collections of New Zealand literature you’ll find anywhere, a parting gift from the previous owner, a Professor of English at the University of Otago. Or pop on a CD or record from the large jazz selection and let music surround you. Stoke the fire, and when the weather’s fine, relax on the expansive lawns, to the backdrop of birdsong and the ocean.
This beautiful family home features modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi, large flat-screen TV with Freeview & Netflix, two heat pumps, BBQ, laundry facilities and a well-equipped kitchen including a coffee machine. There are up to five separate study spaces for writers and other creatives. And you’ll be able to enjoy breakfast including local fresh-baked sourdough bread and freshly brewed coffee, while overlooking the sea.
Off-street parking is available for up to three vehicles. Bedding upstairs includes a queen, two doubles, a single, a camp bed and a cot. Downstairs in the privacy of the library is a comfortable pull-out sofabed, ideal for those who may want to skip the stairs, and handy to the mini-bathroom. There are toys, board games, table tennis, and a selection of DVDs.

Dunedin is renowned as the student city of New Zealand, where one-sixth of the city's population is made up of the students attending New Zealand's oldest and largest university, the University of Otago. There are a number of cultural attractions in Dunedin, such as the art galleries, museums and libraries, as well as a number of Victorian and Edwardian Buildings scattered throughout the central city. Visitors to Dunedin may also be interested in touring the Speight's Brewery or following the Dunedin Art and Craft Trail. Other attractions include the Dunedin Botanic Gardens, which are the oldest botanic gardens in the country, the Otago Settler's Museum, which opened in 1898, mountain biking on Signal Hill and the many local beaches in the area.
